- Samsung launched the Galaxy Book6 series (January 2026): Galaxy Book6, Book6 Pro and Book6 Ultra, all on Intel Core Ultra Series 3.

Samsung laptops are still not aimed at gamers. They are built for people who carry their laptop every day and want it to last all day on one charge. The Book6 Ultra adds real power for photo and video editing.

Samsung Galaxy Book – best for mobile professionals
Galaxy Book laptops are built for professionals who spend the day in meetings, co-working spaces and moving between locations. The thin chassis, aluminium build and (on Pro and Ultra) AMOLED display make them pleasant to use all day.
A Galaxy Book6 with an Intel Core Ultra 7 handles Microsoft Office, Teams, browser-heavy work, light video editing and cloud tools without issues. The AMOLED screen on the Pro and Ultra is a real advantage if you work with presentations, visual content or read on screen for long hours.
Battery life is Samsung's strongest card for work. That matters in the UAE, where a free power socket in a café, campus or co-working space is not always guaranteed.
Dell – best for performance-heavy and business work
For engineering, architecture, finance or data work that runs demanding desktop software, Dell pulls ahead. The new XPS 16 and the Dell Pro Max workstations (formerly Precision) handle AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud, MATLAB and heavy spreadsheets with headroom to spare.

Battery life – Samsung wins
Battery life is still one of Samsung's clearest advantages. Samsung quotes up to 30 hours of video playback for the Galaxy Book6 Pro – real mixed use (documents, browser tabs, video calls) is always lower than video playback, but you can expect a full working day and more. Dell's thin models with Intel Core Ultra chips have closed the gap: the Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 is listed at up to 13 hours of real-world use. Gaming laptops from any brand last far less, usually 4–6 hours, because of the graphics card.
For UAE users who spend long days at university, in the office, in malls or travelling between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Samsung's battery advantage is a practical one, not just a number on a spec sheet.
Build and design – a close match at the top
Galaxy Book laptops use aluminium bodies that feel solid and premium, with slim bezels and a screen that fills the lid. The Book6 Pro is just 11.6 mm thick. Dell's build quality depends on the range: the XPS is among the best-built Windows laptops, the Dell Plus models feel solid without being premium, and the Dell Pro range is built for daily office use. Dell keyboards are consistently good across the range – one reason Dell and Lenovo ThinkPad are often recommended for heavy typists.
Performance – Dell wins on range
Samsung's Book6 and Book6 Pro use Intel Core Ultra Series 3 chips with integrated graphics. They handle productivity, browsing, streaming and light photo editing very well, but not 3D rendering or serious gaming. The Book6 Ultra, with an RTX 5060 or 5070, changes that for creators.
